Install AI Tab Switch

Unpacked load in developer mode. Same features everywhere — side panel on Chrome/Edge/Brave/Opera/Arc, sidebar on Firefox, popup + dashboard on Safari (Safari additionally needs a one-command Xcode wrap on macOS).

After it loads

An AI Tab Switch dashboard tab opens — that list is the real radar, not the website demo. Two things make it live:

  • Activate it — the panel first shows Log in to activate. One click opens a login window for the account you purchased with; no password is ever typed into the extension. Until then the radar stays locked.
  • Reload AI tabs that were already open — a page loaded before the extension existed can't be tracked until it reloads once.

Where to find it afterwards:

  • Chrome / Edge / Brave — pin the puzzle-piece toolbar icon, then click it. The side panel is the radar.
  • Firefox — View → Sidebar → AI Tab Switch, or click the toolbar icon for the popup. Temporary add-ons hide in the puzzle menu until pinned.
  • Safari — click the toolbar icon for the popup, or use the dashboard tab. No sidebar on Safari; everything else is identical.
  • Sound is off until you turn it on in that panel.
  • Updates — the extension checks this site once a day and shows a banner plus a notification with a one-click download when a newer version is out. Unzip over the old folder, then hit Reload on the extensions page.

    Chromium (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc)

    Unzip the Chrome package. Open ( on Edge), turn on Developer mode, then Load unpacked and select the folder that contains manifest.json. Pin AI Tab Switch. The toolbar badge is the ready count.

    Firefox

    Unzip the Firefox package. Open , Load Temporary Add-on, pick manifest.json. Open the sidebar from View → Sidebar → AI Tab Switch. A temporary add-on unloads when Firefox closes — load it again from the same page next session. Permanent install requires Mozilla signing.

    Safari (macOS)

    Unzip the Safari package. On a Mac with Xcode, run xcrun safari-web-extension-converter ai-tab-switch --app-name "AI Tab Switch" (full command and a ready-made script ship inside the package — safari/README.md). Run the generated app once, allow unsigned extensions under Safari → Settings → Developer, enable it under Extensions, and grant access on every AI site. Heads-up: Safari has no system-notification API — the badge, radar and chime alert you instead (and off-desk alerts still reach your phone). Distribution needs an Apple Developer account.
